Use the C & T Publishing Corner Cut 60 to set up a perfect scant 1/4″ Seam Allowance on bed of your sewing machine OR trim 60° points for exact seam allowances. Three seam sizes (scant, true and generous) give a perfect match for your personal 1/4in seam allowance.

Quilt designs assume that when the sewing and pressing is done, only a 1/4″ of fabric is removed from the front of the fabric. Because of thread and fabric thickness, the seam allowances needs to measure slightly less than a quarter inch. Therefore, a scant quarter seam is required. When everyone in your quilt group uses one, all of your seam sizes will be the same. This makes joining blocks by different quilters a breeze!
